Content & Asset Recommendation Guide
Thank you for choosing Comworks to build your accommodation website to increase your direct bookings and occupancy rate. It’s time to start getting your content ready for us to use on your new website. Here is a guide on what to provide us.
Photography & Visual Assets
Your photos are the first thing a guest looks at. They don't just show the room; they sell the experience.
Essential Photo Checklist:
- The Hero Shot: A wide-angle, high-resolution photo or video or even a drone video of the exterior (location, building facade, or the view) We recommend these photos or videos be taken at the “golden hour” (sunrise or sunset).
- Apartment/Room Types: At least 4-5 photos for each room type (e.g., 1-Bedroom, 2-Bedroom, Penthouse).
- The main living space.
- The master bedroom (bed made perfectly).
- The kitchen (clean and decluttered).
- The bathroom/ensuite.
- The balcony/view.
- Amenities & Facilities: Clear shots of the “selling points”:
- The pool and spa area.
- Gym or sauna.
- BBQ area and gardens.
- Reception/Lobby.
- Secure parking or building entrance.
- Lifestyle & Location: 3-5 photos of the local area (nearby beach, local café, famous landmark, or city skyline).
Pro Photography Tips:
- High Res Only: Photos should be at least 2048px wide. Avoid using phone photos unless they are taken on a very modern device with professional lighting.
- Orientation: Most website layouts work best with Landscape (horizontal) photos.
- The “Lived-in” Touch: Add small details, like a bottle of wine on the balcony, a bowl of fresh fruit on the bench, or fluffy towels in the bathroom to make the space feel premium.
Text Content (Copywriting)
While photos grab attention, the text builds trust and provides the details guests need to hit 'BOOK NOW'
Home Page: The Elevator Pitch
Your shop front to the world:
- The Hook: A 1-sentence headline that captures your unique selling point (e.g., “Modern Waterfront Living in the Heart of Main Beach”).
- The Intro: 2-3 short paragraphs welcoming the guest. Focus on the feeling of staying there (Relaxation, Convenience, Luxury).
- Feature List: A bullet-point list of the top 5 reasons to stay (e.g., Free Wi-Fi, 50m from the beach, Secure Underground Parking).
Apartment Descriptions: Managing Expectations
For every apartment category, provide:
- Configuration: Number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
- Bedding: Specifics on bed types (e.g., 1 King, 2 Singles) and maximum occupancy.
- Amenities List: Does it have a full kitchen? Laundry? Air conditioning? Netflix?
- The “Vibe”: A short description of the view or the floor level.
Location & Lifestyle: The Local Guide
Guests aren’t just booking a room, they are booking an experience.
- Walking Distance: List what is within a 5-10 minute walk (Cafes, Coles, Parks).
- Short Drive: List major attractions (Theme parks, Shopping centers, Airports).
- Pro Tip: Provide a few “Local Secrets” your favorite coffee shop or a quiet park, to add a personal touch.
